Ahhhh! After three years (pushing four) you all are still reading Spirit Lake! As I sit here signing and preparing to ship out more books, I am filled to the brim with gratitude. I am so incredibly thankful for all of your support and words of encouragement. As writers, we put our hearts on the inked line and hope for the best. It’s not always easy or rewarding but you guys have taken tremendous care of mine.

My husband (Miguel) says something that jolts me awake—nothing serious—but it’s enough to pull me out of the remnants of sleep and eventually, send us both laughing. We talk bout it for a few moments more, shaking our heads at the ridiculousness of the petty things that at one time would have sent us into a frenzy of annoyance.
